Singapore Reports 2,263 New COVID-19 Cases

SINGAPORE– Singapore reported 2,263 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday, bringing the total tally in the country to 129,229, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in a press release.

Of the new cases, 1,969 were in the community, 306 were in migrant workers’ dormitories, and eight were imported cases.

A total of 1,698 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with 308 of serious illnesses, requiring oxygen supplementation, and 42 in critical condition, in the intensive care units, said the MOH. Besides, 10 more cases have passed away from complications.

As of Oct 10, 83 percent of the local population have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines, and 85 percent have received at least one dose.
