Youth Arrested For Rash Act

The Police have arrested a 14-year-old youth who is believed to be involved in a case of Rash Act.

On 15 June 2017, the Police received several reports regarding a case where a bicycle was thrown from Blk 116B Jalan Tenteram. Officers from Ang Mo Kio and Tanglin Police Division conducted extensive ground enquiries and the suspect was subsequently arrested on the same day. Investigations against the suspect are currently ongoing.

If convicted for Rash Act, the suspect shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 6 months, or with fine which may extend to $2,500, or with both.

The Police take a serious view of such dangerous acts that endanger the lives of others and will take swift action against the perpetrators.
