THREE FLEEING PRISONERS RECAPTURED BY THAI AUTHORITIES

BANGKOK, Thailand The three prisoners who escaped from a provincial court in southern Thailand 48 hours ago, have been recaptured this morning.

Corrections Department director general Naras Savestanan in a statement today said, the men convicts were recaptured about 6.20am (local time) today near a hill in Tambon Taco, Tungtago district in Chumphon province.

The director general will travel to Chumphon later to questioned the three men.

In a daring escape which was captured by nearby security cameras, the three prisoners stormed out of Lang Suan court complex in a stolen prison truck used to transport them to the court complex.

They were among a group of six prisoners who made an escape from the court, but the other three who tried to flee on foot were re-arrested almost immediately by the guards.
