SINGAPORE, Jake Seet, the Singaporean diver who went missing on Saturday, has been found dead, Channel NewsAsia reported.

The police were alerted to a body found floating in the sea off Sentosa at about 6.30pm on Monday.

The body was that of a 33-year-old man who was reported missing on May 5, said police.

Seet, a commercial diver, went missing while conducting underwater operations for the vessel Jork at the Western Anchorage near Sentosa, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) said on Sunday.

Police said they are investigating the unnatural death.

The diver’s sister had appealed to authorities earlier on Monday to “do their utmost” to search for her brother, saying that the family “need answers and information”.

Seet leaves two sons, aged six and three years, and a wife. His wife is due to deliver their third child, a girl, next month, according to his sister.
