Phnom penh: A regional training course organized by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has commenced, focusing on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the teaching of French for professional applications. The event, held from August 13 to 15, is taking place in Phnom Penh with backing from the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie (OIF), the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), and the French Embassy in Cambodia.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the course was inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Oum Romny, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports. The initiative aims to enhance teaching skills and aligns French instruction with the evolving professional and technological demands faced by educators from Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam.
This training is also positioned as a preparatory step for an upcoming summit of leaders from 80 countries, scheduled to be hosted in Siem Reap province in November 2026.
