Phnom penh: Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol met with Dr. Maxim Behar, a prominent Bulgarian business leader and President of the World Communications Forum based in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday morning to discuss enhancing economic cooperation and investment between the two nations.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting, held at the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), focused on Cambodia’s business climate and opportunities for expanded bilateral trade and investment. Dr. Behar commended the Royal Government of Cambodia for its efforts to attract foreign direct investment. He stated that he would relay the positive investment potential he observed directly to the Bulgarian Prime Minister following his visit.
In response, Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, who also serves as First Vice President of the CDC, outlined key Cambodian policy initiatives designed to attract foreign capital, diversify the economy, and foster private sector growth. Both parties expressed confidence that the discussions would lead to stronger future collaboration, particularly in trade and investment, for the mutual benefit of Cambodia and Bulgaria.
