Prime Minister Holds 7th Annual Gathering with Journalists


Phnom Penh: Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet delivered his remarks during the 7th Annual Gathering with approximately 5,000 media leaders, spokespersons, information officers, and journalists from across the country. The event took place at the Chroy Changvar International Convention and Exhibition Centre (CCIC) in Phnom Penh this afternoon, marking the occasion of World Press Freedom Day 2025.



According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the gathering aimed to strengthen the relationship between the government and the media community, fostering an environment of cooperation and open dialogue. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of press freedom and the role of the media in promoting transparency and accountability within the country.



The event also served as a platform for media representatives to voice their opinions and discuss challenges faced by the industry. The Prime Minister acknowledged these challenges and expressed the government’s commitment to supporting media development and ensuring a free and fair environment for journalism in Cambodia.
