Malaysia: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today received a visit from the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) Fadhilatus Syeikh Dr Abdul Karim Al-Essa and his delegation in conjunction with a two-day working visit to the country. The meeting focused on several international relations issues and the protection of the Muslim community across the continent, which is currently facing the pressures of war and oppression.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar shared on Facebook that the MWL Secretary-General, who also serves as the Chairman of the Islamic Ulema' Organisation, highlighted MWL's plans for organizing the World Conference of Religious Scholars and Scholars of Various Religions on June 12 in the capital.
Anwar expressed his hopes for the success of MWL's initiatives, stating, "I pray that all the noble efforts and charitable works of MWL towards Islam, the Muslim community and the world will be blessed by Allah and will be successful as we all hope." The collaboration between the Malaysian government and the MWL underscores a shared commitment to addressing global challenges faced by the Muslim community.
