Osaka: The Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) has committed to promoting Cambodia’s investment potential by regularly updating the Japanese business community about the investment climate in the Southeast Asian country.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Mr. Takayoshi Negoro, OCCI Director of International Cooperation, expressed this commitment during a meeting with H.E. Suon Sophal, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), held in Osaka, Japan. Mr. Negoro praised the efforts of the Royal Government of Cambodia to facilitate Japanese investments and requested ongoing updates on Cambodia’s socio-economic progress and investment opportunities.
H.E. Suon Sophal expressed gratitude for the support from OCCI and pledged to provide regular investment updates. He informed the OCCI delegation about Cambodia’s political stability, favorable macroeconomic conditions, vibrant young workforce, government support for the private sector, and attractive investment policies.
The Deputy Secretary General also extended an invitation to the OCCI team to visit Cambodia to experience the investment landscape firsthand.
