Kuala lumpur: MIMOS International Venture Sdn Bhd (MIVSB) has signed a strategic partnership with ALAA Consultancy (M) Sdn Bhd (ACSB) to advance Malaysian deep-tech innovation globally. In a joint statement, MIVSB and ACSB highlighted that this collaboration enhances MIVSB’s role as Malaysia’s primary commercialization gateway for national research and development (R and D). It positions the company to engage more directly with international capital and industry partners.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MIVSB’s managing director, Mohamad Azriani Abd Aziz, emphasized the company’s focus on reaching international markets. He noted, “This partnership strengthens MIVSB’s role as the bridge between national R and D and global commercial opportunity, enabling us to scale with clarity, discipline, and long-term value creation.”
ACSB’s chairman, Tan Sri Dr. Madinah Mohamad, expressed the company’s commitment to supporting MIVSB’s global ambition. She stated, “Our network of sovereign funds and strategic partners provides the capital architecture needed to bring Malaysian innovation to the world.” The signing ceremony was attended by representatives from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.
The collaboration aims to deliver significant long-term benefits to the Malaysian economy by advancing Malaysia’s position in the technology value chain. It is expected to strengthen Malaysia’s position as a global technology originator, attract high-quality foreign direct investment, accelerate the commercialization of Malaysian intellectual property, and enhance economic returns from public R and D investments, the statement said.
MIMOS Holdings’ chief executive officer, Razman Jaafar, who is also MIVSB’s executive director, stated that the collaboration reinforces a sustainable, low-risk model for international engagement. “It ensures that Malaysia’s research excellence continues to translate into economic impact and global competitiveness,” Razman said.
Moving forward, MIVSB and ACSB will identify high-impact technology platforms for cross-border investment and joint-venture opportunities, marking the first phase of a broader roadmap to position Malaysia’s deep-tech on the global stage.
