KLCI Futures Close Higher, Tracking Firmer Cash Market

Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives closed higher today, in line with the firmer cash market.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the April 2026 contract rose 9.5 points to 1,698.0, while the May 2026 contract improved 10 points to 1,699.0. Additionally, the June 2026 contract climbed 10.5 points to 1,699.0, and the September 2026 contract gained 10 points to 1,679.5.

Turnover surged to 8,278 lots from 5,410 lots on Friday last week. Open interest also saw an increase, rising to 40,887 contracts from the previous 38,257 contracts. At 5 pm, the FBM KLCI rose 7.09 points, or 0.42 per cent, to 1,702.30 from last Friday's close of 1,695.21.
