KUALA LUMPUR, Gold futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended higher for the fourth consecutive day on Wednesday.At the end of trading, the August 2024 contract rose to US$2,541.20 per troy ounce from US$2,525.80 at Tuesday's close. The September 2024, October 2024, November 2024, December 2024, and February 2025 notes all settled higher at US$2,544.90 per troy ounce against US$2,529.50 previously.The volume slipped to 13 lots from yesterday's close of 16 lots, while open interest decreased to 54 contracts from 60 contracts previously.The price of physical gold stood at US$2,529.75 per troy ounce, according to the London Bullion Market Association's afternoon fix on Aug 20.Source: BERNAMA News Agency
