FBM KLCI Futures Open Slightly Higher In Early Trade


Kuala lumpur: The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contracts were slightly higher in early trade today, tracking the underlying cash market.



According to BERNAMA News Agency, at 9.44 am, spot months January 2026 and February 2026 gained half-a-point each to 1,671.5 and 1,675.0, respectively. Meanwhile, March 2026 added 1.0 point to 1,657.0, and June 2026 rose by 1.5 points to 1,660.50.



The turnover for the futures contracts stood at 1,356 lots, with open interest recorded at 34,951 contracts. The benchmark FBM KLCI itself advanced 3.01 points to 1,672.58 after 44 minutes of trading, compared with Thursday’s close of 1,669.57.
