Kampong chhnang: Samdech Moha Montrei Kuy Sophal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Royal Palace, is continuing his efforts to mobilise humanitarian aid for frontline soldiers and displaced families in Boribo district, Kampong Chhnang province.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, on Saturday, August 16, Kuy Sophal led a mission to deliver donations of food, daily necessities, and financial assistance, underscoring the solidarity of the Cambodian people with the nation’s defenders. The event was attended by Kampong Chhnang Provincial leaders, other local officials, and philanthropists.
During the visit, Kuy Sophal stated that the contributions, though modest, reflect the compassion of Cambodians during a time of war and aggression against the country’s territorial integrity. He highlighted that the aid helps ease the hardships faced by troops, displaced citizens, and military families along the border.
The Deputy Prime Minister appealed to all Cambodians to uphold a spirit of national unity and continue to support the nation’s security forces who are actively safeguarding the Kingdom’s sovereignty. He also urged authorities at all levels and philanthropists to join with the provincial administration to provide monetary assistance, medical supplies, and other essential items to strengthen frontline forces and those in urgent need.
During the mission, Kuy Sophal and provincial leaders delivered aid to 67 military and displaced families, 50 needy families, and 50 veteran soldiers’ households.
