Cambodian Defence Minister to Attend Regional Defence Meetings in Vientiane

Vientiane: H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence of Cambodia, is set to lead a senior delegation to Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, for two significant regional events. These events include the Trilateral Defence Ministers’ Meeting and the Closing Ceremony of the Joint Disaster Relief Exercise involving the armed forces of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam, scheduled from October 13 to 16.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, H.E. Gen. Tea Seiha’s participation comes at the invitation of H.E. Lt. Gen. Khamlieng Outhakaisone, the Minister of National Defence of Laos, who will host the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Trilateral Defence Ministers’ Meeting. This involvement is seen as a reaffirmation of the enduring friendship, solidarity, and commitment shared among the Ministry of National Defence and the armed forces of Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam.

The meetings aim to bolster mutual defence cooperation and deepen bilateral and trilateral relations. They are also intended to contribute to the safeguarding of regional security, peace, stability, and sustainable development, while fostering enduring friendships across the region and the broader international community.
