Phnom Penh: Cambodia and China have pledged to strengthen their partnership in sharing experience and enhancing capacity building to combat corruption. This commitment was made during a meeting between H.E. Yonn Sinat, Vice-President of Cambodia’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU), and a senior Chinese delegation led by H.E. Lei Gang, a standing committee member of the Communist Party of China’s Yunnan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and the Yunnan Provincial Supervisory Commission.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting took place in Phnom Penh, where H.E. Chea Sam Ath, ACU Director General of the General Department of Operations, emphasized that fighting corruption is a key priority for the Royal Government of Cambodia. H.E. Lei Gang expressed appreciation for the deepening friendship and cooperation between China and Cambodia, particularly in the realm of anti-corruption efforts.
Both parties expressed their anticipation for further strengthening bilateral cooperation to effectively tackle corruption in all its forms.
