Beauty consultant, carpenter among top vacancies recorded at PhilJobNet this week

PhilJobNet, the Department of Labor and Employment’s internet-based job and applicant matching system, recorded this week 7,959 new active vacancies in the local employment industry, and among them are Beauty Consultant and Finishing Carpenter.

The said vacancies, along with call center agent, staff nurse, cashier, and salesman, are among the top 20 vacancies recorded by the PhilJobnet this week.

DOLE � Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) Director Dominique R. Tutay, in her report to Labor and Employment Secretary Silvestre H. Bello III, said the weekly update from PhilJobNet generated by the BLE this April 20 yielded the following top 20 vacancies: Call Center Agent – 1,698, Staff Nurse � 899, Beauty Consultant � 610, Salesman � 402, Customer Service Assistant � 342, Food Server � 339, Market Salesperson � 330, Bank Teller � 300, and Real Estate Salesperson � 300.

Other active vacancies posted at PhilJobnet and awaiting jobseekers are Promo Salesperson � 270, Sales Clerk � 265, Delivery Driver � 265, Bagger � 230, Product Machine Operator � 214, Stall Salesperon � 200, Merchandiser � 195, Finishing Carpenter � 189, and Service Crew � 187.

According to the Philippine Standard Occupational Classification (PSOC), a statistical classification of the different occupational groups of the working population used by PhilJobNet, Beauty Consultant is under the Service and Sales Workers occupational group.

DOLE’s job matching portal has 1,700 employers with job posts during the weekly monitoring.

PhilJobNet is a facility of the Department of Labor and Employment that aims to fast track the jobseeker’s search for jobs and the employer’s search for work force. Its centralized database is maintained by the Bureau of Local Employment.

A jobseeker who is at least 15 years old may register as a job applicant in the PhilJobNet.

Employers can also use PhilJobnet to invite registered job applicants for job interview on a desired date and have the option to print an applicant’s profile.

The employment facilitation portal also has the capability to upload applicant’s profile picture, company’s logo and documentary requirements. Users can also retrieve or reset forgotten password.

PhilJobNet has made job matching more flexible by allowing users to modify filters such as specific job requirements and applicant qualifications. It also provides an option for the applicants to apply online and to view top hiring companies.

An employer or establishment duly recognized by Philippine business authorizing agencies and with existing Tax Identification Number (TIN) can register in the PhilJobNet.

PhilJobNet service is free of charge for both job applicants and establishments. Its facilities can also be accessed at the Job Search Kiosks, an ATM-type stand-alone equipment, at DOLE attached agencies and regional offices, Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs), and selected schools throughout the country.
