Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Conducts 2018 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch for Stakeholders in Region V

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), in celebration of its 25th anniversary, will conduct the 2018 Awards Ceremony and Appreciation Lunch to honor its stakeholders who have provided exemplary support to its statistical undrtakings, information needs, and advocacy programs in Region V. With the theme, Reinforcing Partnerships, Defying New Challenges, the event will take place at the Concourse Convention Center, Gov. Forbes St., Legazpi City on Tuesday, 31 July 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Deputy Governor Ma. Almasara Cyd N. TuaAo-Amador will lead in honoring this year’s awardees and stakeholders.

The Outstanding Respondent among Large and Medium Firms and the Outstanding Respondent among Small Firms will be given to the BES respondents selected from among the country’s top corporations in Region V who have participated regularly in the survey by providing timely, complete, accurate and consistent responses. The Outstanding Partner for Sources of Information for the Report on Regional Economic Developments will be awarded to the agency or institution that provided the BSP with information support on the Regions. Meanwhile, the Outstanding Regional Partners in Currency Programs will be given to the agencies or institutions that supported the BSP’s currency programs and advocacies in the Regions such as the clean note policy, coin recirculation and the demonetization of the new design series. The Outstanding Regional Partners for Implementing BSP Advocacy on the Conduct of Public Information Campaigns will be awarded to the agencies or institutions that have supported the BSP’s public information campaigns in the Regions. Lastly, the Outstanding Regional KRN Partner will be conferred to BSP’s partners that have supported BSP’s aim to provide selected libraries with free information materials and online research assistance.

This event is the third of the BSP’s regional stakeholders’ events in 12 areas outside the National Capital Region (AONCR) to honor stakeholders in various awards and categories. Stakeholders of the BSP in the National Capital Region were earlier recognized during the awards ceremony held last 10 July 2018 at the BSP Main Complex, Manila.

In keeping with the theme, reinforcing partnerships with stakeholders will improve the collaboration of the BSP and its partners in gathering information and conducting advocacy campaigns. This will help in defying new challenges in carrying out BSP’s objectives of safeguarding price stability and promoting a healthy financial system as well as ensuring an efficient payments and settlement system in the country.
