Kuala lumpur: Several strategic initiatives and collaborations between Malaysia and the Muslim World League (MWL) are set to be realised, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Dr. Zulkifli Hasan. He announced this development following a closed-door meeting with MWL Secretary-General Datuk Seri Muhammad Abdul Karim Al-Issa, which took place after the conclusion of the Faith and Science Competition Programme.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr. Zulkifli detailed in a Facebook post that the meeting was more than an exchange of views. It served as a platform to establish a clear and focused direction for future cooperation. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity, highlighting the discussions as meaningful and visionary, aimed at converting discourse into actionable initiatives. This is intended to foster a stronger, more knowledgeable, and united ummah.
Dr. Zulkifli also acknowledged the commitment and willingness of Al-Issa and the MWL to share their perspectives. He emphasized that when intentions align with spiritual goals, meetings become acts of worship, and clear visions lead to meaningful actions.
Previously, Al-Issa praised Malaysia for being a source of inspiration within the Islamic world, especially in promoting Islamic initiatives internationally. This is evident in Malaysia's consistent engagement and active participation in various programmes organized in collaboration with the MWL. Among these initiatives is the Iman dan Sains (Faith and Science) Competition, conducted throughout Ramadan via the Iman and Sains Malaysia platform. The competition aims to strengthen cooperation between nations, promote universal values, and present Islam as a religion of compassion for all.
