Melaka: Melaka FC’s preparations to return to competing in the country’s elite league, the Super League, are getting more convincing when the complete list of players will be finalised later this month. Team owner Datuk Nur Azmi Ahmad said the list includes at least three loan players from Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in addition to 12 existing players to form a strong team.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Nur Azmi stated, “We have already started the interview and selection of outside players, so it will be finalised before the end of May as training is expected to start at the end of this month.” He further mentioned that the team is technically ready and has reached 90 percent completion, including retaining coaching staff such as coach K Devan, Asri Ninggal, and Mazlan Wahid.

Melaka FC was previously eliminated from the Super League competition due to factors such as salary payment issues. However, they made a strong comeback by winning the A1 Semi Pro League for the 2024/2025 season, which serves as a si
gnificant preparation for the Sang Kancil squad’s return to the Super League.
