Man Arrested for Theft in Dwelling

The Police have arrested a 20-year old man for his suspected involvement in several cases of theft from lockers.

Between 15 April and 2 June 2017, the Police received 4 police reports by victims informing that cash and handphones kept in their respective lockers at No. 10 Buangkok View were stolen. Upon receipt of the reports, officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division conducted extensive follow-up investigations. The identity of the suspect was established and he was arrested on 5 June 2017. Cash amounting to $50/- was recovered from the suspect and seized as a case exhibit.

The suspect will be charged in Court 26 on 7 June 2017 with an offence of Theft-in-Dwelling. If convicted, he faces an imprisonment term which may extend to 7 years and shall also be liable to a fine.
